Animal glue is the name of a variety of adhesives whose history goes back to prehistoric times!
Our glue isn't so old, for this is not made anymore from animal parts but from recycled gelatin from the pharmaceutical and nutritional gelatin.
Because of that our glue is not killing animals, neither for its production nor for its disposal.

Where is the animal glue
used?
The animal glue is used in the various gluing machines like the SLine-GL.
This type of machines has the job to spread a costant film of glue on the sheet of paper.
It has a specific section in it, the glue tub.
That section has the job to prepare the mixture of glue and water to be deady for the spreading.
This means that the animal glue has to be melt and mixed with hot water.
By changing the percentage of water in the glue and the temperature, the machine can regulate by its own the viscosity
of the adhesive to match the specification of the glue and the need of the materials.

What
kind of glue?
Animal glues are used in various types of production including book binding, rigid boxes and graphic arts industries.
There are two main types of form to buy:
- granular
- cake form / block
the choice between this two type of preparation it's just a matter of taste of the buyer.
The granular one has no water inside, needs do be added with a lot of water and needs a preparation in another glue tub before the insertion in the machine's glue tub.
The cake form / block is easer to use, it can be inserted directly in the machine's glue tub without any preparation.

Sometimes, you cannot provide to your machine the same working condition all along the day or, for example, you have to work a very special type of paper or cardboard like velvet coated paper or laminated cardboard.
It means that our glue can be made exactly for your need.
When we are writing the recipe for a glue we pay attention to eachone of this parameters
- opening times (the adhesive time of the spreaded glue)
- temperatures of exercise (the melting temperature of the glue)
- viscosity (the property of the glue to be spreaded)
- enviroment (different condition of humidity or temperature can change the behavior of the glue)
- materials (not all the materials has the same behavior with the glue)
changing the percentage of the components that form the mixture, we can manage all the aspect of the glue making it easy to work with for you.
